Louise Plunkett is a wife and mum of two neurodiverse boys. She lives with a genetic, progressive and incurable eye disease. This has caused her to lose the majority of her central vision.
Louise is passionate about raising awareness and sharing the importance of improved digital accessibility and inclusion with businesses. She has been instrumental in making positive changes from small independents through to global organisations.
She uses the frustrations she experiences on a daily basis to educate others on the simple changes they can make, in order to be more inclusive.
Louise always shares and teaches from the heart, giving an insight into her life and challenges that she encounters.
She also uses this experience in her volunteer role as a telephone befriender with the Macular society, a UK based charity supporting those living with sight loss.
At a local level, she volunteers with another charity, working with children, young people and their families to facilitate, access and enjoy activities, as well as being a positive role model for living with sight loss.
Louise has recently become a bestselling author as part of a book collaboration - ‘Letters to my Teenage Self volume Two’.
She is also a networking leader with MIB International and a panellist on their Diversity & Inclusion panel.
